However, how confident are you that this 'friend of a friend' will 'deliver' on the day if you know what I mean. Is he/she a qualified florist?
It's your big day and you don't want anything to go wrong do you?
I'd think really hard about it. What's a few extra pounds if you can get them done by a florist who you will enter into a proper contract with?

You could venture out and get other estimates, but they will not be as reasonable as this one. Just make sure she knows how to make them pretty.

Don't know where you live, I am Scotland and we have just booked a florist for a July wedding after shopping around All prices were round about the same as in Brides bouquet starting at £65, bridesmaids about the same, Church pedastals, admittedly quite large £125 , flowers girls posies £22 - £45, cosages for mothers £8.99 each. Reception tables averaging £30 each but started from £15 - £40 per table and can't remember buttonholes etc. If this person is a good florist you can't go wrong. Our total bill is £1.050.00 and we haven't went OTT.
Reply:It seems very reasonable to me but it might be better if you just ring a local flower shop and get a quote from them as a comparison. I paid about £200 for my wedding for silk bouquets (bride and 2 bridesmaids) and 10 female, 10 male buttonholes, and table decoration rings (8) and three 'real' flower pedestal arrangments. So for real flowers £300 seems quite good. All the very best for your big day.

for my brother's wedding we paid just under £300 for bride's bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets (all roses) a flower girls basket and 13 thistle button holes and 2 corsages. Hope that helps.affiliate reviews
