What do you think of my bouqet idea?

Okay! I'm getting married in a year and a half, and i am an extreme control freak and trying to finish everything NOW. My flowers are gerber daisies, and my center peices are 7ft. high, and gerber daisies as well. My bridesmaid dresses are going to be black, and my wedding dress is ivory. My colours are pinks, golds, and ivory. What do you guys think about this idea? All of it actually?

OH! One more thing, i am have a pink bouquet of gerber daisies, and i was thinking a multicoloured bouquet for my bridesmaids. exactly like this picture:

BUT, they will be bigger then those pictures for the bridesmaids, and will those exact colours, but with more pink and white, and mine will be all magenta pink, and bigger! what do you think?

honest opion!
What do you think of my bouqet idea?

I'm going to be honest. I like everything but not necessarily together.

Now, normally I love Ivory, but with the black dresses it will take on a more formal softer tone - and I think roses would suit that mood better.

Now I love the Gerber Daisies, however it is a very fresh crisp look and I think that an Ivory dress will look somewhat "dirty" with what you have described. The Gerber daisies call for something a little crisper - meaning a white dress.

I do like the idea of Gerber Daisies against a black dress, but don't get too overwhelmed with color and/or size. Sometimes less is more.

And I'm having a hard time picturing pink, gold, black, magenta, and ivory all together - so although in my head I'm not feeling it - I can't say that in person it wouldn't really be lovely.

But those colors definately not with Gerber Daisies.

Step back and look at the bigger picture. You may have always wanted those colors and those flowers and those dresses but you may not be able to have them all together.
Reply:I love the idea of the black and ivory dresses. Sounds very elegant. Including pinks and golds would look amazing. The only thing that sounds a little off is the gerber daisies. Don't get me wrong - I love gerber daisies - but I think multicolored ones look too casual next to the more formal black bridesmaid dresses. Just my opinion. Good luck!
Reply:if you are going to be a control freak about it, you are probably going to be a super bridezilla! Although, I know it's really hard to factor all the ideas in, hoping it looks nice. Your idea sounds great, but maybe don't book anything right away. A year and a half is a long time, and your thoughts might change. Are you having a summer wedding? Sounds beautiful though. Good luck!
Reply:Wow you have everything well planned!! I am getting married in 5 days and still have not picked out my flowers!! Good for you. You know what you want! GO for it, I like it!
Reply:I LOVE the idea of black dresses with multi-colored bouquets. However, I'm not so sure about making them bigger. I like that black and multi-colored bouquets because it's very vibrant and makes a statement without it being overly-loud and tacky. I think making them bigger would actually make them lose their presence and might be a distraction rather than a fresh, beautiful pop of color.

All your other ideas, however, sound fabulous. Good luck with your planning!

Reply:I like your ideas. The gerber daisies are lovely and will really give spring look to your wedding and reception. The only idea I don't like is the bridesmaids dresses being in black. Why such a morbid color when you have such beautiful multicolored daisies and your colors are pinks, golds and ivory. My suggestion: Choose a lovely soft pink for the bridesmaids dresses and trhen everything will be color coordinated. That black is way off and so wintery looking. I hate black in a wedding. Black indicates mourning not a festive occasion of a wedding. I cannot for the life of me understand why brides choose black for their bridal party. First of all the color comes terrible in the wedding photos, and it looks awful. I recently saw a wedding album of a daughter of a friend of mine, and of course, she chose black for the bridal party...She was a gorgeous bride, but that black spoiled most of the photos where the bridal party was involved. So if you take my advice, nix the black and go with soft pink for the bridal party or gold.
Reply:i dont like the flowers but i like the colors
Reply:i wouldn't do em completely colorful, maybe just 2 colors
Reply:I think that all of it sounds very nice.

I used the gerbera daisies for my bridesmaid bouquets and for the centerpieces. They turned out beautiful...and it was more affordable to use the daisies.
Reply:Everything sounds pretty, but...

7 feet tall centerpieces?!?!?! Holy cow! They will already be 2 1/2 to 3 feet off the ground on a table - so they're going to be about 10 feet in the air!?!

I would love to see a picture of that, but I would hate to see it topple over on someone!super nanny
