Flowers for the Virgin Mary at wedding?

My husband and I are padrinos in his sisters wedding, and we are to bring flowers for the Virgin Mary. We are not sure what kind of flowers to bring! We have been told to bring a dozen roses, and have also heard that it should be an arrangement of sorts. Anyone have any idea which is correct??

FlowersBirthday FlowersSympathy FlowersI think presenting flowers at the alter of the Virgin Mary is lovely. Roses, carnations or any other arrangement should be fine. You can go to a florist and ask them what they typically arrange for this situation or go to BJ%26#039;s/Priceclub to pick out the arrangement yourself at a fraction of retail cost.
Reply:I would recommend buying white roses, it doesn%26#039;t have to be a dozen if you can%26#039;t afford it. That is what I have seen in wedding and quincenieras. For my cousins quince, I was her madrina and in charge of buying flowers for the Virgin Mary and everyone recommended white roses.
Reply:I think it can be anything, because it%26#039;s usually to put at the base of a statue or icon. However, it would be fine if you asked your MIL what would be appropriate.
Reply:I%26#039;d say white roses
Reply:I just used a dozen yellow roses...Just bundled, didn%26#039;t have to be in a certain arrangement...
Reply:A bouquet of roses is customary.
Reply:I dont really think that the Virgin Mary will mind what flowers you bring. They didnt have many flowers in the middle east so anything would do.
Reply:Let the florist know what the bouquet is for. It does not necessarily need to be a dozen roses. You probably should go with a bundled bouquet so that the girl who is carrying them in can hold them easier and the church can put them in a vase later. You can get the flowers to match the wedding party or have the florist put ribbon on it to match.affiliate
