Wedding Flowers Spending?

How much did you spend on your wedding flowers? What kind of flowers do you have? Would you say your selection and arrangement were elaborate, average, or simple?

I am paying about 2700 for these flowers. This exact bouquet, smaller replicas for 4 bm and even smaller ones for 3 flower girls, all boutineres, wrist crosages for parents, one grandma, table arrangments for reception (17), and two extremely large arrangments for the ceremony.
Reply:My flowers cost 700.00 for all roses. I would say it%26#039;s going to be average! Bridal bouquet, MOH bouquet, Bridesmaid Bouquet, Grooms bout., 2 groomsmen bout., 2- ushers bout., My dad bout., 2-hostess corsages, rose petals for my aisle runner, flowers for the cake, and petals for the centerpiece.
Reply:Just under 800 for flowers. My bouquet was a handtied European bouquet - big variety of flowers - some roses, carns, alstromeria, stargazer lillies, and others, in our colours of pink, lilac, yellow, and teal; trailing ribbons in all four colours. The bridesmaid bouquets were smaller versions of mine. Aside from the groomsmen boutonnieres and corsages, we just had three large arrangements of flowers - which we used at the church, then at the head table for the reception.
Reply:I will be budgeting $350 for my flowers. We are going with pink roses, pink dahlias and seeded eucalyptus for a summer wedding. Fortunately, these are seasonal flowers, which makes them way less expensive. The bouquets will be simple, handtied, natural-looking nosegays. Our dresses have embellishments on the front and I don%26#039;t want the flowers to be so big as to block the detailing, and my bridesmaids are all petite women-a big bouquet would look silly.
Reply:You can spend as much or as little as you want. Our typical wedding package is $275 and includes the Bridal Bouquet, Groom Boutonniere, 3 Bridesmaids, 3 Groomsmen, 2 Mother Corsages and 2 Dad Boutonnieres. Our flowers are made of wood so no need to perserve them afterwards. Vibrant colors. Very cost effective! www.woodyaflowers.com
Reply:All the costs depend on the time of year the wedding is, the quanity needed, and how much work goes into each arrangement. Obviously the more elaborate or out of season blooms are going to cost more. Its all on a person-to-person basis
Reply:We bought all our flowers at the wholesale flower mart here in LA. We bought orchids, roses, lisianthus, greenery, hydrangeas and calla lillies. It cost us about $250 for all of it.

They were all very simple and modern.
Reply:We spent $4,000. I used light blue hydrangeas, white roses, and pale yellow roses mostly. We got married on the beach so I ordered an arch which was covered in flowers as well as 25 tables with fish bowls, seashells and more hydrangeas. I had 5 girls and 5 guys, one flower girl and of course my own flowers. I also ordered my linen runner through my florists. They did an amazing job and I wouldn%26#039;t change anything.

You don%26#039;t have to spend that much. It all depends on whether flowers are one of your main priorities or not - for me it was in the top 3 to I chose to splurge more on my flowers and spend less in other areas.
Reply:I bought my own orchid stems from an online store. They were $300. The centerpiece arrangements are just the orchids stems in a vase, very simple.

My bouquet is black calla lilies and it%26#039;s $120.
Reply:I figure everything, bouquets, corsages, lapel sticks, cake toppers, centerpieces, etc will be less than $75, including the ribbon, floral wire and tape, not including my labor. Using silk.

These rose buds will be the main ones, will add ivory carnations and accent colors here and there. But 5 doz flowers for $3.60 is a deal!! And it%26#039;s really easy to wire them.

Reply:About $500. A mixture of high quality silks and some bulbs and grass we grew ourselves. The silks I%26#039;ve sold online and got about $250 of that back.

I%26#039;d say they were average. Easy to make but looked more complicated than they were.
Reply:I%26#039;m not married, but I am a floral designer.

Save your money and get basic flowers for the tables. Yourself and the attendants should have nice flowers for your pics. Or, dont do flowers, do a few pillars on each table with rose petals around the base, thats a very romantic look. Its your wedding, so do what you like, but remember its still only 5 hours long so consider the value of the $ and how you can put that $ to better use. ( rent, down-payment for a home, mortgage, things that will be around after the wedding day is past)
Reply:I think the flowers were around $2500 for m wedding (12 years ago) We had lillies, the arrangements were average we just had way too many people at our wedding and needed alot of them but they were very pretty!makeup tips
